The Catalan chef presents the Faces Utensil Collection
Catalan chef Ferran Adrià proved to be a first-rate ambassador for Spanish design at London’s prestigious Harrod’s when he presented the Faces Utensil Collection created by designers Xavier Claramunt, Miquel de Mas, Antoni Arola, Luki Hubert and Martín Ruiz de Azúa.
For Adrià, the fact that these products have a place in such an establishment is proof of the interest Spanish cuisine arouses, something which has also led to Spanish products being available on the shelves of supermarkets in cities such as London, New York or Chicago. “This is the result of newspapers abroad talking about our cuisine. Such coverage inspires many people to visit Spain to see for themselves and discover a traditional cuisine they hadn’t been aware of before,” says Adrià.
The chef also stressed the importance of Spanish design and praised the work of the different teams of professionals who worked on the project and who plan to continue producing new products in the future. The Faces Collection is composed of around 25 utensils for preparing, cooking and serving food. Besides the UK, it is also on sale in Australia, the Netherlands and Germany.
